If you’ve ever jumped into the YouTube niche that is walking videos, chances are you’ve seen Rambalac in your recommendations. For more than 10 years he’s been consistently uploading no commentary videos of him walking throughout Japan.
His walks vary from popular locations like Shibuya and Shinjuku to random backstreets. All of which are recorded in high quality and let you get lost in the moment as you imagine yourself there.
This time around we’re going to focus exclusively on nighttime videos, perfect for putting on your TV, table, or phone while you’re trying to fall asleep.
It’s really relaxing and I hope you find some videos of his that you enjoy.

Rainy night Sakura cherry at Tokyo Meguro River
Tokyo Meguro river is one of the best spots for Sakura. You can walk along the river near Naka-Meguro station and even up to Meguro station looking at Sakura all the way. Usually, this time there is a special event with lanterns hanging along the river and additional colored lighting. But because of COVID it's cancelled for the second year.
It was raining when I arrived at Naka-Meguro station. I walked to the west from the station up to red bridge then walked to the east up to Meguro station where I finished.

Evening walk around Tokyo station

Night Sakura of Mama river in Ichikawa city
On the way back home after another walk, I found a very nice river with Sakura. Next evening, I went there with my Sony camera.
I started from Moto-yawata station, walked through residential districts to the north toward Mama river. Sakura was in full bloom and the river was illuminated with pink lanterns 🏮🏮🏮
I continued walking along Mama river to the east till Onigoe station where lanterns finished.
